1. The service

ReptiTools provides free online tools, species data and original articles for reptile and exotic pet keepers. All tools are pure front-end applications that run in your browser; no server-side computation is involved.

2. Acceptable use

• Use the site lawfully. Do not use it to plan or facilitate illegal activity, including the unlawful trade of protected species.
• Do not scrape, bulk-copy or republish our articles and data for commercial purposes without written permission.
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, attack or disrupt the site.

3. Information is for reference only

All tool results, species data and articles are compiled from published care guides and keeper experience. They are general reference ranges for hobbyists and do not constitute veterinary advice, nor legal advice on the purchase, breeding or keeping of any animal. Reptile keeping involves temperature, humidity, disease and regulation. Always follow professional veterinary advice and the laws that apply where you live. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReptiTools is not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from reliance on this site's information.

4. Regional legality

Legal requirements differ between countries, US states, Canadian provinces and UK jurisdictions. Some species (e.g. ball pythons, green iguanas, many tortoises, CITES-listed invertebrates) require documented legal origin; some regions restrict or prohibit certain species. It is your responsibility to verify local law before acquiring any animal and to keep proof of legal origin. Releasing pets into the wild may be illegal and can create invasive species — never do it.

5. Intellectual property

The site's design, tool logic, articles and data are protected by copyright. Without written permission you may not copy, modify or distribute original content for commercial purposes. Non-commercial sharing with attribution and a link is welcome.

6. Advertising

The site may display advertising served by Google AdSense or other networks. Advertisers are independent third parties; we are not responsible for the content of advertised products or services. Our advertising disclosures are set out in the Privacy Policy and ads.txt.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While we aim for accuracy, data may contain errors or become outdated. In no event shall ReptiTools be liable for any special, incidental or consequential damages, including loss of animals or data, arising from use of the site.
